The Spurs Are Rumored To Be Interested in KG: Are You Concerned?

According to sources around the San Antonio Spurs, the team is rumored to be interested in Kevin Garnett. They don’t have a lot of cap space so they would probably offer him a one or two year deal in the neighborhood of $15-20 million.

There’s no doubt the Spurs would be appealing to Garnett but there are two things that work against San Anton in this scenario. One: Garnett and Tim Duncan don’t get along. Two: KG is fiercely loyal and if he were to come back, he would more than likely play for the Celtics.

The only way Garnett doesn’t play for the C’s is if he doesn’t think they can win a title. That’s a possibility, unless of course Danny Ainge finds a way to load up the roster again.

Don’t count the Lakers out in all of this either. KG has a home in Malibu and he could possibly consider playing closer to home.

Either way, the KG saga is worth watching this summer. Hopefully he re-signs with the Celtics.
